Through the Pale Dawn: All images taken in North Korea, one of most reclusive countries in the world. This series is a reflection upon the possibility of creating images while merely scratching the surface of a distant and foreign country. In an attempt to avoid the sterile and typical images that usually depict North Korea, the images aim at portraying a more quiet and reserve portrait of life in this nation. This work was first shown on Museu da Electricidade, Fundação EDP (Lisbon) and was published as a monograph by french editor Editions Loco.
